Combined agent whose action is due to its constituent components: has antitussive, vasoconstrictor and anti-allergic effect.
Dextromethorphan anadrol 50mg is an antitussive agent, the strength of close to codeine, raises the threshold of sensitivity of the cough center of the medulla oblongata, suppresses the cough (different etiology).
It has a sedative effect. There has analgesic, narcotic and hypnotic effect, it does not inhibit the respiratory center. Onset of action – 10-30 min after administration; duration – for 5-6 hours in adults and up to 6-9 h – in children.
Phenylephrine, has a vasoconstrictor effect, it helps to eliminate nasal congestion, nasal breathing easier.

Indications
Symptomatic treatment of dry irritating cough with “cold”, acute respiratory infections and other acute and chronic respiratory diseases.

Contraindications

 

  • Increased individual sensitivity to the drug;

From the senses anadrol 50mg: blurred vision, mydriasis, paresis accommodation, increased intraocular pressure. on the part of the cardiovascular system: reduction or increase in blood pressure, tachycardia. digestive system: increase in salivation, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, dry mouth, anorexia, increased appetite, epigastric pain. From the side of blood: anemia, thrombocytopenia, hemolytic anemia, aplastic anemia. From the urinary system: difficulty urinating, urinary retention, renal toxicity (papillary necrosis). Allergic reactions: skin rash, pruritus, angioedema, bronchial obstruction.

     

    Overdose
    Symptoms anadrol 50mg: an overdose of phenylephrine may cause agitation, increased blood pressure and cardiac arrhythmias. An overdose of dextromethorphan can cause agitation, dizziness, respiratory depression, impaired consciousness, decreased blood pressure, tachycardia, muscle hypertonicity, ataxia, dyspepsia.
    Overdose due chlorphenamine: agitation, dizziness, sleep disturbances, dry mouth, urinary retention.
    Treatment: washing stomach, symptomatic treatment, mechanical ventilation. The specific antidote to dextromethorphan – Naloxone.
